I agree this is a decent possibility. Only testing will tell, but if the Avalanche is black, and you install the heads perfectly, I think three heads might git 'er done. There's no way I would cheap out on one head to try it though. And if it's a light coloured truck, forget it.
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
Well its a black Z-71, with veil and soon to be M27. I'm not looking for JTG I just wanna know when I'm being painted so I can slow down.
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
It doesn't work that way. Check out the Jammer FAQ.
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
I read it, I have good coverage to both sets of headlights and no front plate.
18 inches from the headlight correct?
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
18 is the generally accepted rule, but the actual number varies from jammer to jammer, and install to install. We don't have any testing behind us with the M27 yet to really have a good understanding of it's capabilities and limitations.
But the main point here is that the "I don't need JTG" is not a valid theory for protection. Jammers don't buy you time. They buy you distance. Maybe. And they either do, or they don't. So relying on "just enough" protection to buy you a few seconds is the same as no protection at all. In fact, it is worse than no protection at all, because it gives you a false sense of security.
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
Well if the M27 doesn't give me what I need I'll just buy two more heads.

X2....I discussed this with him but he is unable to afford 4 heads at this time.I also advised him not to count on substantial protection until he could add at least one more head but 4 heads would be best.

People need to know he found me through another forum and not this forum as I do not take customers from this site. Anyone who is an active mbr on this forum should support RadarBusters as the sales are what keep this forum alive.
Re: Which blinder for 2005 Avalanche?
Oooh, so are the MX7s available now? Don't see them on Radarbusters.
