Has anyone had any trouble applying this update? I can't get the heads to reprogram after the update. Here is what I did step by step

1. Unplug everything from the CPU unit and connect it to the usb port on my laptop
2. Click on 2.6 USA and click the update CPU button and let it finish.
3. Unplug from laptop and reconnect all the heads, alert, and power.
4. Made sure the switch was in II position and turn the car on.

This is where I'm stuck, the heads don't start updating. After I turn on the car, it seems like it's working normally but the heads did not update. Is this normal and the heads are not suppose to update?

I have also tried flashing to the 2.2 USA Repair first and then flashing to the 2.6 and still doesn't work.

There's two firmwares, one of them is a reflash/fix or something that you need to use first to program the heads, then you program the other one to cpu. Its weird, but you have to use the different firmware to reflash the heads.

Do you mean I have to flash the CPU unit with the 2.2 repair firmware and connect it back to the car to program the heads? And then take it back out and reflash to the 2.6 and the heads will update?

Really wish the instructions on blinders site was more clear on the update process.

You have to use the Fix flash first. What that does is wipe the heads clean and unlock them for programming. Then download the update and reprogram heads.
