I have a costumer with the same car but he installed a Alg9 rx

I didn't cut the grill on my BMW either. My LI Quad was installed in the same grill location as ddd269 but further apart, closer to the fog lamps. The installer does a lot of LIs, and said it was not necessary to use grill placement.
Does anyone have photos of a BMW with LIs (or Blinders) installed in a cut grill?

Listen to people who test, not people who make a living doing the simplest possible install.
Horizontal mounting slats cut into the upper outer corners of the kidney grilles. What needs to be cut?
The bottom line is that you either care about how it works or how it looks. You can't have it both ways with a BMW.

I had a difficult time finding much information about installs on BMWs. The ones I did find were all in the same place as mine currently. Maybe professional installers don't like to do anything that alters the cars' cosmetics. It's a shame BMW gives no consideration to laser jammers in designing the front ends.
Ironically, that applies to many of the so-called "performance" cars that are popular with driving enthusiasts. But yeah, both installers and owners of these cars don't like to cut. Can't say I blame them, but the fact remains that there is really no way around it for competent protection.
