90 900 Turbo, 5-speed, about 140-ish mi/h as calculated from the tachometer as the speedo was bouncing off the reset button for the trip odometer.

Wonder how fast the '76 Firebird will go... much more torque than the Saab, but shorter gearing... 3,08's in the back... Car&Driver tested one in the day and they got 132 mi/h and were running about 500 r/min PAST the redline... don't think I'll be doing that one

But, maybe if we had all the money and resources that C&D does, we could do that kind of stuff

Naw it's not money and resources, it's just driving SOMEONE ELSE'S car

Know what the difference is between a 4x4 and a rental car? There are some places you can't go to in a 4x4.

I've had both my Evos in the 158 - 162 mph range a couple of times. At 7000 redline on the '05, there are still 800 rpm to play with before the rev limiter kicks in (reflashed). According to the gear ratios, my '03 should be able to do 176 at 7600 rpm and the '05 should be able to do 181 at 7800 rpm, but drag won't allow them much past 165. The cars are bricks after all

At least we don't have anyone here who thinks the top speed of the car is dictated by the biggest number on the speedometer, oh man...
