    I'm kinda worried that you're REALLY going to regret buying a slushbox.

    Actually, IMO you will regret your decision whether you get a manual or automatic, depending on what mood you are in and what is the traffic situation.

    At least that's my case with my own car / rentals / etc.

    But you get used to them (automatics). And can get pretty good performance and feel out of them once you do get used to them.

    I hope someday (by the time I want to buy my next car) there will be DSG gearboxes with an optional (drive by wire) clutch pedal...

    I think if you got one of those sequential transmissions with no clutch pedal, you probably wouldn't regret it. Although your bank account might regret it.

    Or if you got a straight-cut gearbox, that would solve the problem too. So long as you're deaf already.

    I love that sound

    Although not all straight cut gearboxes sound precisely like that, there's something else going on right there...
