Got a new car!

V8 == 1UZ-FE. It's not the 'god-like' 2JZ, but still one hell of a engine. It will have some pep.

I see you're keeping it in the Toyota family. I've always liked the SC. I'd start with the newer style taillights, they just give it a nice look. I tried to pick up an SC300 last month but I guess the owner wasn't really serious about selling it, he just put the ad up for the hell of it I guess. Good luck with yours.

Someone in my extended family had one of these when they were new. Basically identical but I remember his having more "green". Ended up replaced by Volvo 850 (previously he had a Celica).

But it doesn't matter since I won't do anything beyond intake and exhaust. In that case the V8 is actually better since it makes a little more power than the 2JZ.

Yeah it's a great motor for sure. Torque and flat powerbands for the win!

Yeah I would like to convert it to 97 specs someday but for now I'm not doing much. I need to save up cash to get the timing belt done since it's due and I don't have a place to change it myself.
