All of those additives are garbage.

I had a 91 Explorer that had a blown head gasket
(steam out the tailpipe, adding water, changing one plug on a regular basis) and a leaky radiator.
I started out on a trip to Montana with the wife and kids in the car stopped and bought Alumaseal Radiator Sealer.
It plugged both the head and the radiator, hardly ever added water after that, drove to Montana and back in the winter time, still can't believe that I did that!
I took the pink slip and was ready to buy a new car if something happened.
Ran it like that for a year, got $1500 on a trade in for a new Expedition.
ugh. the people at the service station put something like that in when they last changed the oil due to some oil leaks, and it so did not even work. do like me and look for a new car. =)
Ugh...don't remind me. I'm changing a blown HG in a few weeks. That should be fun.
Youre not drivong around with a bad head gasket r u?
No, I've been in MI since the beginning of the year. The Supra has been sitting in storage in TX since then.
It hasn't completely blown, but being as though I have 200,000 miles on it and I have no record of it being replaced during the Toyota HG recall, its time is limited. I have no idea why the owner didn't have it serviced
