    Default My new ride!

I picked this puppy up last Friday. It's a 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro, with only 14,849 miles on it. It's practically a new car!

We've been driving it all over the place this weekend. Hit a few radar traps already, thank goodness for the X50! I have to hardwire my V1 in, maybe tomorrow.

    That's right, only 14,849 miles, on a 2002 A4:

If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Active Countermeasures: V1 3.858, Escort Redline, Beltronics STi-R+, LI Dual 7.1x CPU/8.7 Heads (front)

    Vehicle: 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro

Yeah my neighbor has an older(2002) black one... really nice little cars, he put the 50HP chip in his that they offer.

The only problem with working on Audi's is that they are a PITA... nothing is made logical on them, they are pretty much (as far as engine compartment design goes)... horrible. I dnk why the Volkswagon engineers do that, but they sure arent fun to work on.

Hope you enjoy it, looks great, just get some new rims and tint... call it a day... nice car!

another big x2!. good lord, where the battery is on those things  stupid. also, i remember reading somewhere that the 1.8t jettas and A4's (around the 01-02 era) had a ton of problems with the ignition coils. just something to look out for

It's not bad. Some day I hope to chip it to bring it up to 200-odd HP.

Once I get my plates transferred, I'll put my Laser Shield in front. I have Veil too, so that would be next (have to see how well Veil and halogen projectors get along). I probably won't bother with a jammer until/unless laser becomes more common around here. I have my V1 stealth mounted with the concealed display in the dash. It blends in great with the red Audi illumination.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost and how is insurance?
It ran me approx. $21K. Insurance, not sure yet until I get the bill.

AirMoore, I agree. I tried to find the horn under the hood (it isn't working, probably a loose wire), but couldn't find it. I tried taking things off, but didn't have much luck. I'll have to take it in and let the experts have at it.

It's in the plenum at the back of the hood near the windshield and firewall. There's a cover that pops off to expose the battery.
    what did you drive before?
A '98 Saturn SL2. The Audi is a big step up.
