ok my buddy just bought this detector he had it for a week and all ready retuned it and got another one but same dam thing keeps going off on ka band and there not even a cop in the area whats with this detector this 2nd one sameblem are they pice of junk anyone else had this problem?

In all honesty, Cobra's are not very good radar detectors. They don't do there job very well and they also leak frequency that sets off other detectors on the road.

Tell your friend to look into these, their far superior.

as they say its not a cop detector, its a radar detector.. But yes, your buddy is better off without a cobra due to poor performance and a nuisance to other detector users because it leaks..
