Definitely a possibility, though I'm waiting on the initial impressions of the Redline. I may well get an STI though. I think my 9500ix days are over ... I've already given up on AutoLearn and I'm really not liking the difference "GPS on" makes against the instant on ...
The main problem I'm seeing with the STI on 34.7 is in the main instant on test (nothing did well in the 2nd IO test) ... it only alerted to 2 of 6 on 34.7. The X50, and 9500ix with GPS off caught 6 of 6.
I was disappointed in the q/t results, but I guess it will come down to how much q/t is a threat in the buyers area. If the STI was as good as the V1 on instant on testing, then with the stealthiness, it would be a no brainer for dashmount for a lot of people I feel.
For those who would like to get an idea of how the Redline would stack up in all of this, look at Roy's testing since he was using my 3.863 that was in this test.
The 3.863 had default settings when Roy had it.
And hell yeah, I run Ka guard off. Because I can.
i get very few falses from it, and besides, we all deal with k band falses, a few ka alerts don't mean squat, when i may be getting something that everything else could miss.
Oh, and for any whiners out there, at least the Belscorts were run in highway mode instead of the default auto mode.
I wanted to run everything stock factory settings, but got vetoed.
the belscorts filter out weak k band, so expect a loss of performance if you run it like that.
Oh, and now i have RDR off on my STI-r as well.![]()
this is the reason why iam thinking about selling my v1 and buying the sti driver. IT seems to do really good, althought there is really no Q/T here in IL, and I raley see I/0. I see more moving isntant on then stationary. Will see, I am really intersed in the STI Driver.
