Default Found a low price in car DVR for incidents or contacts

I found this while doing some research on a thread I was reading about a BS RLC ticket

CCTV Car DVR is the latest model among all in-car recording devices. It has a 640x480 video resolution and it can record audio at the same time. After the device plugs into the cigarette lighter, you can ignore this device until you want to retrieve the video. It is because this device will power on and start recording when you start your car. Each time you start your car the recording will start and stop automatically. The videos record into 5 minute segments. When the memory card is full, the device will erase the oldest files first and will record continuously, the car dvr will not stop recording while you car engine is on. After the first initial set up you will not need to worry about the recorder until some thing happens.

The video is divided in to 5 minute segments. Each file is approximately 100mb, so a 2GB SD card can record for up to 100 minutes.

It comes with a video cable which will allow you to playback on a TV or any video device with RCA video inputs

It is very easy and compact to install. It comes with a car kit which includes a suction window mount and a car power supply. Just mount the device on the front window and plug the adapter to your cigarette lighter socket, and you're all done.

Maybe I will put it on my XMAS list for Santa

It is not pretty that is for sure but I like it for my work truck.

I had an accident that the other party tried to blame on me (it was arbitrated in my favor) but this would have been a great addtion to the evidence.

    Great find.
I wonder if it will accept a bigger card, like a 6 or 8 gig.

    Great Find!

I assume it will not accept SDHC. There are some 4gb non SDHC out there just hard to find.

Very cool stuff you found there. Now for my opinion...

Compact Design Car Camcorder DVR Spy Camera Bigboxstore.com Low Res, Low fps, No Time and date stamp, good price

Car DVR - Front Camera + Video Recorder - From China - Wholesale Electronics

VERY COOL! I LIKE THE SWIVEL CAMERA, No time and date Stamp, No external power though

iSpyG2 - Micro DVR Video Recording Camera Great sneaky cam!

SuperCircuits - CAMCC1-DRS-1 - Windshield Mounted Mobile DVR System for Cars Driving Recording System - CAMCC1-DRS-1

This is the right stuff!!! BIG $$$ Needs a swivel. I would love these features on the mirror with a power source. THE GPS and the accelerometer is way too cool!!!

So far I like the $99 one at the top the most because of the resolution and time stamp. It is ugly and unless it is very light I would be it would be prone to shaking. I wish I could affoord the $449 version on the bottom.

Micro Eyes DVR BallCam - Safe Car Digital Recorder - Special Forces Gear

Having worked with Rally America I learned they had some device that would superimpose telemetry on the video so the teams could look at it later. This camera looks good for that use. It may be good enough for LEO. Low res though

Hi Res Car Visor Dashboard Camera with DVR & LCD Monitor

Neat all-in-one camera but one again not Date and Time Stamp and no way to add it. It might be usefull for where we do in videoing interceps

Motion Detect Vehicle DVR with Pinhole Camera/Hidden Camera

The DVR is good but it's camera is lacking bad. it has VGA output but able to do 8 fps. With better camera it and telemetry it would be good or LEO use

Bluetooth Rearview Mirror Cameras Car Kit 2.4 inch LCD (SD010B) - Cheap as - US$ 97.50 - Buy from eMixt.com

Looks like the other camera without the on board camera. Great price

    SGZR739 Wired Mini Digital DVR + Wired Water-proof Camera [SGZR739] - $105.99

Nice stuff. I have the camera and it works good but the DVR doesn't mention overwriting. This would be a great candidate for telemetry.
The best of the lot again was the last camera in the first bunch. It may be a great too for reporting Trinity DB updates for Escort and Cheetah.
