    No Veil on the F250.

    Two things I'm wondering about:
    (1) My truck, although white, is 11 years old and has 200k miles on it, so it is "faded" white, if you know what I mean, and the factory clear coat is long worn down and isn't even close to glossy any more, so it may not be nearly as reflective as a 2-3 year old vehicle with only 30-40k miles.
    (2) does my high mounting point in the front help me? My front heads are 40" off the ground, and my rears are 32". The cab is 80" high, so my front heads are midway in my center of mass, whereas my rear heads are in the lower third of it, and I got way more PT on the rear. That UL LRB destroyed me from the rear.
There were cars there that were barely 40" high, and their transponder heads were barely 12" off the ground. I'd like to see the results if they angled their heads up just a little.

You can believe Rsatmans was looking for your weakest point. CM for him is not your typical CM, He takes the liberty to include anything along the centerline. We are convinced the blacked out grille is one of the keys to your great showing on the front. If you look at your baseline runs compared to some of the smaller vehicles you will see they are quite low.

If I remember the picture correctly, the MOAC has a bunch of twists and turns. Is there a bend around 1000-1100 feet?
You can also get an in-cab view of the course in my videos in my thread in this forum.

There may have been some "interference" when srtga got that PT. Due to some mis-communication, the next vehicle to be tested had already entered the course at the top of the hill and had just come into sight, while srtga was just starting up the hill. The other cars was radioed to stop and back up, which he did, but his transponders were still on. I'm not saying that the presence of the second unit led to PT, just noting some extenuating circumstances on that run.
Solion's car is small, blue, and has fairly rounded contours.

The total line-of-sight distance of the course from the shooting point to where cars first came into view was around 1300'.

Here is a sketch of the course traced from an arial photo taken during the excavation phase, but before the road was paved, so it's close, but not 100% accurate.

I you fell like you need more protection, add an extra dual LI to the front...

Guys, Thanks for setting this up, thanks for shooting ALL DAY, and thanks for compiling all the info!

I'm looking forward to the next meet so maybe I'll know what the he!! is going on

I just wanted to add that my front heads are dead level but both of them are canted outboard a few degrees. It'll be cool to see how much improvement I get when they are properly aligned.

I am very pleased with my M47 on the front of my car, but honestly, after seeing the LIs perform I could be swayed.

Same or better protection with half as many heads.

May consider putting LI slims on the back. How is that for weird combination?!

I think category4 summed it up nice when he said the newest Blinder heads are 75% of a LI head in terms of performance. Saying that, Veil and dark colored cars help tremendously. Hence, the great showing by Blinder at the test.
