Default College Station Jammer Meet - 4/10/10

Today, I tested two new LI setups with my LTI Truspeed, jermstyle's and Pyrofallout's. Here are the initial results:

    jermstyle:

    Vehicle: White VW Jetta

    Jammer: LI Dual (Gen 8)

    Center Mass: JTG, JTG, JTG

Driver Side Headlight: 235, JTG, 239

Passenger Side Headlight: 299, 435, JTG

    Pyrofallout:

    Vehicle: Black Ford Ranger

    Jammer: LI Dual (Gen 8)

    Center Mass: JTG, JTG, JTG

    Headlights: 405, 337, 350

So, we all pulled over and tweaked the setups. With Pyrofallout's setup, his heads were a little too far from his headlights so he moved them out. As for jermstyle's setup, I believe his heads weren't aligned perfectly straight. We got everything adjusted and retested again:

    jermstyle:

    Driver Side Headlight: JTG, JTG

    Passenger Side Headlight: JTG, JTG

    Pyrofallout:

    Center Mass: JTG, JTG, JTG

    Headlights: JTG, JTG, JTG

    Overpass Shooting: JTG, JTG, JTG

I'd like to thank jermstyle and Pyrofallout for coming out and getting their setups tested. I hope to see you both in May for the big Houston meet.

It just shows again how important the install must be to get JTG.

The new placement made the world of difference for me. I just need to figure out what is going on with this strange falsing issue that just started after relocating the heads. After I left College Station my LI's falsed a total of 10, yes no kidding, 10 times tonight, over about 130 miles of driving. I can't for the life of me figure out what it's saying on the falses. The audio is unclear and mumbled, unlike during testing with the TruSpeed or even Unknown Gun alerts with TV remote test, where I can clearly understand the voice alerts. The siren even sounds different, and whatever is being said sounds nothing like all the alerts listed for the LI.

Does it say anything like "Please proceed with caution"?

There is a warning when the sun is too bright on the heads and I can't clearly hear what it says, but after hearing it enough times I could pick out the "sun" and "proceed with caution" part.

If that is what it's saying, then you can adjust this warning with the software.

Snoopy, thanks again for your help testing and aligning my setup!

Pyro, thanks for letting me use your pc and tools.

I learned this as well when I had my setup tested after getting a so called professional install On my first run I got PT on either HL/PHL at 1350ft with a Truspeed! But thanks to guys like snoopyc4 I too got help with mounting the sensors optimally.

It isn't the sun warning, the sun warning doesn't have a siren according to the retailer. I actually spoke with him on the phone just now and it turns out I am not crazy.

I didn't post what I thought it said, cause I was sure there is no way it was saying that, but it is saying "Photo Camera, Please Slow Down". It may be something do with the light coming from my headlights, although I know at least the first 3 times it did it my headlights were off. I am going to do some more research on it the next few days testing the heads individually and see if I can pinpoint the issue.

I will post back up when I get more info. And it should be noted that although the falses are annoying, I am told the LI is still completely functioning. I do think that this issue will get sorted out rather quickly, just going to take some testing. But either way, I still love my LIs

I'm amazed at what a big difference a little adjusting made to these two setups!

I've heard you guys preaching "Location, aLinement, and Leveling" (The 3 L's of Laser?) ever since I joined this forum, and took it to heart when I installed my LI, and the results spoke for themselves.

This test also shows how important it is to get you setup tested.
