    Default an "implied" stop sign?

There's a funny three way stop at the target near me. the lane coming towards me has a stop the other two lanes have a stop but my lane doesn't. So I always carefully drive across when cars are there. Today I drive across and some dude chases me down and cusses me out for not stopping. So I politely pointed out that that is a three way stop. My lane doesn't have a stop signed. To which he replied "It's an implied stop sign you idiot"

I've been through the drivers handbook three times this evening and have yet to find an implied stop sign. Anybody heard of this?

Sort of. Here at least, it's implied that you need to stop before pulling out of an alley or parking lot onto a road, but if you're at an intersection that has stop signs for every direction except yours then I don't see how there's any requirement to stop.

Some people are just always right, even when they're not. It's the only way they can make it through life as an idiot and not feel bad about it.

Just say "Sorry you feel that way" next time.

but yeah... when you leave parking lots and whatnot its required that you stop in most jurisdictions. The guy was probably just making assumptions though and doesn't actually have a freaking clue what hes talking about.

aight TrooperX finally messaged me that there is such thing as an implied stop sign. But it's only on farm roads intersecting major roadways. Kind of like small road yields to big road. However he's familiar with this intersection since he lived down here a couple of years ago, and told me that it is not an implied stop sign. It's just fcked up. So I should probably stop, since the whoever installed the signs screwed up.

    But thanks for the support.

Unless there's a stop sign or a steady red bulb in compliance with the MUTCD I'm not stopping if traffic permits me to go through.

As bizarre as this sounds, nearly the same thing happened to me today ... at a Target . My lane had no stop, the other three did ... some guy in a truck started to pull out in front of me but I just kept going ... he stopped and sarcastically waved me though like he was doing me a favor. I laughed and mouthed to him that there was no stop sign in my lane. He never chased me down or anything though. Good thing he did not hit my new car or bad things would have happened.

lol - that's just all screwed up.

I would have told him " I intended, and implied, then stopped that so I can continue on my way".
Sometimes ya want to employ a boot as an implant to those that imply.
