7500 vs 7500s || 7500s vs. v1

I have read many reviews about the passport 7500 and more comparing it to the v1, and I am not impressed. But my unit that I bought is the 7500s, and on the box, it has some ambiguous graph that shows it being much, much better on K and Ka bands than the 7500. Does the 7500s perform along the same lines as the 8500? Or is it still a miserable failure compared to the 8500/v1?

Not sure about the 7500S but this is how the 7500 compared to the V1 in the year 2000:

The 7500 loses by 1.1-2.2 miles in all radar bands to the Valentine One. I heard that the only difference between the 7500 and the 7500S was the ability to connect it to the ZR3 jammer but I could be wrong.

3x Ka band sensitivity over 7500
2x K band improvement
Same X band

Don't get the 7500s its not as good as the 8500 or 8500x50.

I have used the 7500 before and it can't stand up to the big three.

ok i have until the 30th to return it. for $330 for the 8500, i might as well get the v1 for $400.

Call 1 800 331 3030 and ask Valentine Research if you can be put on the waiting list for a returned V1. You will get a brand new V1 with 1 year warranty for less than $360 shipped to you. Remember that the V1 is like getting 2 excellent radar detectors in one because it is the only radar detector that has 2 antennas.

Well it depends if you are looking for arrows or not?. I feel that both the 8500X50 and Bel RX65 are every bit as good and even better in some areas.

Also keep in mind that the experts seem to favor the X50 over all the rest.

If you do buy the V1? make sure you know where the mute botton is on it because you will need it for sure as the V1 is false happy.

Well, I've never used a v1 before so I've never tried the arrows, but I can think of many reasons why they'd have great usage.

so has anyone actually tried the 7500s? is it really not much better than the 7500 at all (which by all the reviews i've read shows it isn't too stellar at all)
