    Default Quick Boot

Should I enable the quick startup on the 8500 X50? Right now I have it off because I assumed that it is loading too fast and won't calibrate correctly or something.

What is the point in having the regular startup if the quick startup does not affect performance?

The reason for quick start is so you don't have to hear the thing beep like crazy when you turn it on....and it is quicker hense "quick start"
It is a convinence option only. There is no difference in calibration between the two

i actually prefer it's normal startup. I don't even think it's that long.

The scrolling dot is cool. I wish it went back and forth though. Couldn't they easily program it to do that?

hey most detectors dont even have this feature! but yea, i think it would look better if it was going back and forth too.

Yes, actually that should be fairly trivial.

Guys I agree with you it would be very easy to do, and awsome if they made the scanning dot available in a variety of different styles... but lets face the facts:

Belscort doesn't even upgrade their 'upgradeable' units for new threats and to correct real issues with the units... the odds of them sending out a new Rev. simply for a cooler scanning dot... that just wont happen. I mean we complain and complain to Belscort about their customer service, their non-upgradeable, upgradeable units and they see it on here all the time I'm sure... and they dont even do anything about those issues.
