Escort X50 Q. Can it go from All Dark to show the band?
I thought I had the X50 set at one time to be totally dark and then as soon as it picked up something it would show the band. I can't figure out how to get this to work again. It was long ago when I first got the unit.
I have tried to go to Dark: ALL and Brightness: various settings and can't seem to figure it out.
Was this just a dream that I had or is there such a setting?

Go into the programming options and change the PILOT setting... some of them just show a "C"/"A"/"H" or "-"/"."/"+" in the display instead of "City", "Highway" or "Auto".
This is as close as you'll get to a dark mode that still shows the alert info.
