the X50 will be superior to the solo, on both detection, and filtering. I assume that you are talking about ebay?? For only twenty dollars more, you can buy the X50 from an authorized dealer, and get the warranty.

i vote x50, cordless detectors are very conveniant but the x50 has better range

If you live in a legal-2-use-RD-jurisdiction, go for the X-50, otherwise strongly consider the S2 (that's the one I'm using) or the brand-new STI (US$450 plus local taxes)... BestBuy sells the S2 for US$330 plus local taxes, so be careful with that e-bay individual, if he's honest or not... and from e-bay you get no product warranty at all...

1st off IMO... DONT GO EBAY, no warranty of any kind, and no guarauntee that itll work

2nd off: Id definately go with the X50 in a heartbeat, better range, sensitivity, and much better in Laser, if you want it out of sight just hardwire it, cordless IS less of a mess, but youre sacrificing alot of performance for that convenience
