Have a Rabbit in front usually 1/5 of a mile ahead, "Rabbit...> a vehicle going faster than you or same rate of speed used as bait for your protection". This should reduce the IO threat, but most importantly see as far as your eye can focus not just ahead of you, look for any car that might appear to be a cop car or signs of them.
Don't speed unless there are other speeding vehicles ahead of you (a "rabbit"). That way, they'll get hit with radar, and you'll get an alert on your detector tlling you to slow down.Originally Posted by boki
Do Rabbits work in suburb/city driving and not just on the highway?
Yes, they work anywhere.Originally Posted by mikeb25
Cool... what about a Radar jammer ?Originally Posted by a-casanova
Those are illegal, and there is not one that works for Ka.
But Elvato, I tested an "oldie but a goodie" radar jammer w/ jimbonzz last weekend that had "somewhat" of an effect on jim's x and k band analog radar guns. It is called the Phantom RCD not associated w/ the Phantom from Rocky Mountain Radar.
Apparently the Scorpion does have a favorable effect on X and K bands, but when it comes to Ka, it is overpowered by the LEO's radar unit at a closer range.Originally Posted by proudNMAmember
Bud, there's very few suburbs/city drives that are safe to exceed the speed limit by "an amount that you'd get ticketed for". The only ones I can think of are 45+mph zones that are multiple lanes, and very light traffic.Originally Posted by mikeb25
