Default Question about X50 POP mode and false alerts

Sorry for a newbie post, I've searched and read many threads, but I still have to clarify something.

When you guys say that enabling POP mode on the Passport X50 will make it have more false alerts, does it mean more false "POP" alerts or more false X, K, and Ka alerts?

Are there any advantages to having POP off besides having less false alarms?

    Thanks.

Just false POP alerts. There are some rumors that disabling POP increases K and/or Ka band sensitivity. But there are others that say enabling increase sensitvity. Nobody is really sure, the results have been variable.

When you enable POP you will receive many POP alerts, it will display POP. X, K, Ka and Laser are not affected. NO, there is no advantage besides less alerts. POP feature was designed to catch that very fast radar signal NOT to improve sensetivity.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to leave POP on since I don't get many POP alerts at all, false or not. I maybe get an alert once every thousand miles I've driven with it, so it doesn't get annoying and it keeps me alert. I also like the feeling that just in case the real thing happens, I will be aware of it. Thanks again.
