You can read my findings and experience with the Stalker Duals tonight in the V1 section titled "Stalker Dual Verdict" . Does the X50 show 2 bogeys when encountering these particular radar unit?

The X50 alerts on Expert mode shows up to 2 Ka bands, 2 K bands, and 4 X bands. I think that is what you're wondering.
In this test, i wanted to see if the X50 will show 2 Ka alert in expert mode or in my post "double bogey" when it encounters the stalker dual or DSR when using both front and rear antenna's at the same time. I am very familiar with the multi threat numbers that you are talking about.Originally Posted by atruelunatic
Can both antennas be turned on at the same time with a Stalker Dual DSR? I know they can with the DSR-2X, but their website is not clear about the DSR.
Does the number of bogeys (threats) differ between moving and stationary mode?

The Stalker Dual and DSR cannot run both antennas at the same time. Only the DSR-2X can have both antennas on at the same time.
Although there is no doubt that an ancounter with a DSR-2X could produce multiple bogies on a detector, I think that in most cases this is simply the detector "ghosting" an extra bogie in the presence of a strong signal.
Jim, how can you explain having 2 bogeys with only 2 dots on your signal strength with the V1. To me, that's not overloading. Ghosting in my experience happens when you get full strength but never seen ghosting with 2 dots specially with Ka band. I'm sorry posting it here on the escort forum. It's just a follow up question. I may be wrong here as far as the specific model used here but i am sure it was a stalker radar because of the frequency at 34.771 and could have been a DSR 2X.Originally Posted by jimbonzzz
Yep, could have been a DSR 2X....Or in your situation, maybe two of the 5 bikes who passed you were running their radar...
Highly possible when talking about the V1. But the X50 shows only 1 bogey with 2 antenna's on if that was the case and what i could not understand is why the X50 will show 2 bogeys with only one antenna when tested against the kustom golden eagle ka band radar (tuning fork test passed) on the other hand - starts with 1 bar then gets to 2 bars even at the shortest range.Originally Posted by jimbonzzz
I've noticed on 35.5 I get 2 boogies on my X50 Could be ghosting like Jim said.
It's possible. But when tested with the V1, the V1 only shows 1 bogey. As far as ghosting, my X50 never ghost on other frequencies.Originally Posted by Orbital75
