That link didn't help much. What I do not udnerstand is how to see what rev it currently is, and if not up to date, do I send it to escort?
Unless maybe by personal preference rev 5 is some how better anyway??

From what I remember the software updates are not free from escort and they provide absolutely no performance upgrade and are not worth anything.

You can't get a revision update from Escort. Period.

The only way to get a newer revision is to go out and buy a whole new detector. Therefore, it's a waste of money.

You can always send your detector in and they will proudly check and/or calibrate it. They will also change the horn if you ask. These services of course, cost money. I'm not sure what their policy is if it's under warranty. If you believe it is functioning improperly, then I bet you can get a calibration or horn replacement for free.
