Final Decision!!!!!!

i hate to say it but my 9500i will be going back tomorrow. i have fought with the decision for almost 3 weeks now and i cannot for any reason make the swap. i left it on even when i wanted so bad to swap back to my v1 but after today it got turned off and will be sent back. i guess the best description i can give to you guys who are still debating is -

1. new features are great - the lockout and gps performed superbly.
2. the range in my opinion is okay but seems to have "tunnel vision".
3. the ramp up is totally not cool. 1-2 then full. still cant get used to that.

i drive in both rural and city environments daily and can honestly say that it was a pleasure using the new escort in atlanta but on the other hand while driving in my home town which is rural i wasnt impressed at all with its ability to detect the locals running constant K. it also started falsing Ka this weekend like 3 times just driving down a 2 lane road for no obvious reason. it didnt do it for the first couple of weeks and is making me wonder about it now. i say this to not deter anyone from buying one but i feel it needs some work and i would probably wait for GOL and at least 6 months before buying one.

+1. I would also add to consider waiting until/if they get the USB port functional for online software updates instead of having to ship it back.
