Never said it was early. It's full tone when the radar is either directly at your or damn near close.

    Zombie.

Was not necessarily talking about you, I am under the impression that most votes for the X50 are because it melts into a full tone faster, if there is another reason I would like to hear it.
Since you have to lower yourself to name calling how can we even have a discussion?
Why would I be a zombie just because I prefer a V1 ramp up?
Is this how you go through life reasoning with people?

I think its because you seem to (especially as of late) be very zombie like... as with the situation that occured just before you went to Nevada it took forever to even have you fathom the idea that the X50 would be just as effective as the V1 in the encounter a member had/described...

I am not sure how many X50's you own currently... but from owning both a X50 and V1, its X50 then V1. (at least the newer V1's). The V1's ramp up is just a bit more jittery then the X50's (for no apparent reason) and is harder to tell the urgency of the report. I think where the X50 blends to a solid tone is just right... then again I use both the V1 and X50 daily... so what would I know.

Who wants to go to full tone early? That defeats the purpose of ramp up.
I don't think that's the case with the X50. It only goes into solid tone when it is directly hit by the source. I don't think it goes to solid tone early but accurately. This was a test i did over the hill and listen carefully to the alert sound. It did not go into full until i got to the top of the hill where i focused the stalker duals. The V1 has very good ramp up alert too. The only way to tell is using both at the same time but never tested it. Honestly, i like both because it gives you that awareness that the radar source is getting closer and that is what matters.

Here's the video link of the X50 ramp up. I will try it with the V1(video) when i have the time.

I personally think the v1's dances just a little too much. Its great and I'm not knocking it nor does it bother me.

But it does jump up alot. Even sitting right behind a leo it will go from pegged out down to 5 or 6.

I agree. The X50 seems to be more linear.

I like the standard tone much better because it is easier for me to ID the tone alerts. I have tried the loud setting and i did not like it. Even with my radio on, i still hear it well. The volume on this test was already up to be captured by the video. My hearing is pretty good and i just wanted the right volume so when it auto mutes, i hear no radar alerts. I turn my radio on with enough volume to hear my music. I'm not a type of person who wants their music at high PSL (pressure sound level) anyway.

The v1 does dance a bit too much.

X50 has the best ramp up I have ever seen, it always gives me a good feel of how far the LEO is.

That escort tech was useless. We know there's no setting to change the ramp up like the X50, but we want them to CHANGE the 9500i so that it does have the X50 ramp up.

If something is good already, why come out with a new product and make it worse?

The 9500i needs a lot of work..

Even though I have seen various videos, I don't have a V1 so I won't comment on that.

I like the X50's ramp up. As many have said, it's pretty linear. It's mostly Ka around here, and the Ka ramp up is great

As a side note, I do have to say that the Pro-58's ramp up isn't all that bad. I like the tones as well, they sound like an 80's video game (Like the early space video games..."Oh no, we're being attacked by the enemy...they're getting closer! Ah!! Take that Ka!" )
