So what happened?!?

Hi, I am new to this forum and I have had my 8500 x50 for 6 days now.

So I am waiting at a light on the highway here in Boulder,CO and I see a officer on a motorcycle enter the highway. I figure that I will keep it cool and see if he trys something.

Sure enough I see him pull off and set up to do some radar enforcement. He happens to pull off right where I turn off the highway so I figure that I should get hammered with detection (I can see this guy after all).

As I get closer and closer I see he has his gun up to his eye, but nothing coming from my detector. I pass him and suddenly the detector goes nuts. K band (not Ka) full bar (I have the advanced menu on).

So did this guy have Instant On and he was just ignoring me or was there something else going on?

he didnt care about you, he wanted somebody else probably........... Instant on for sure, and im not sure is the guns have a warm up time for the antennas but that might be something else

when i pull the trigger on my mph or kustom radar my rx65 takes a second to go off; there is a delay in the time when the radar transmits and the rd goes off; most of the time the radar will have the speed displayed as the rd goes off.

my whistler is the worst; it'll start out at 1-2 signal most of the time and ramp up when i blast it with io k or x band; only 1 out of 15 times itll show pulse. the rx65 goes nuts every time but there is still a slight delay
