I wish I found this forum before I ordered the 9500i. After reading through the message boards, I see that there might be problems with the gps function.

I was wondering even without the gps function are there enough features like maybe more range or less false alerts, etc, that can justify the ($150 red version) ($110 blue version) difference for the 9500i instead of the 8500 x50?

Or is the 9500i basically the 8500 x50 with gps function?

I think you will be happy with the 9500i. The GPS works fine for me. I can mark fine. The ramp up is a bit different than the X50 but when this goes off, slow down.

There is allot of hate on this board for the new 9500i. I'm VERY happy with mine.
