This was the start of the thread. The 9500i has some delay with alert time but was better than my X50 when responding to quick trigger pulls. The 9500i has also the longest delayed alert of all the 3 - V1, X50 and 9500i.

Quick trigger pulls can be best used in stationary mode and it has to be close because you can make a point of reference as to when to pull the trigger and it will be very hard to use in moving mode. I agree with insidercw3 that quick trigger pulls below 1 second will be rarely used but is very possible to use in stationary.

Based on your test, when applied at longer distance, this is where the V1 has it's strength in picking up weak and quick trigger pulls and the 9500i may neglect the weak signal. You also have to take into account that the 9500i is better in picking up refelcted signals than the V1 at 90 degree approach and forward facing.

Bottom line, there is nothing you can do with instant on whether you have the V1,X50 or 9500i. But if you got a short alert at a distance, you can slow down.

I agree with this. LEOs are never going to "quick trigger" their radar gun just to avoid detection by radar detectors. If they are using Instant On, that is deadly enough and they most likely have you unless you picked up a signal ahead of time.

All the V1 Zombies that boast that the V1 picks up "quick triggers" - that has no use in the real world.

As shown in the pulsed signal tests the V1 readily alerts to any bump in signal energy, regardless of the validity of the signal source.
To users that means of course that the V1 FALSES and falses and falses still more.
I agree. VR should change the programing to have a "window" with POP on and like Bel & Escort do, and no window with POP off. At least 500ms - not 100ms which just leads to more falses.
