Default 9500ix - Full sensitivity in Auto mode

Ok, have searched the forum and have a question...Has anyone determined the actual speed at which the 9500ix is at full sensitivity in X and K band in Auto mode? Previous posts regarding the 9500i mentioned the sensitivity steadily increases from 15 mph to full at 50 mph. Has this been confirmed with the 9500ix (full at 50 mph)? Thanks.

The 9500I does filter in the way you describe above, however it was difficult to see if it was really filtering very much at all above 20mph. My assumption is that it works the same way.

Anyone test the ix or even the ci?

I haven't done any precise testing, but my 9500ci seems to behave like my 9500i in Auto Sensitivity mode. I assume that the 9500ix behaves similarly.

9500ix does such a good job at filtering falses (with autolock out) I leave mine in Highway mode exclusively now.

Personally, I'd recommend running it this way for a while after purchasing it. I have read post upon post about how quiet the 9500i is even in Highway mode. The 9500ix is the same as far as the antenna platform goes, so running it without the lockout features is definitely worth a shot, at least right away. Perhaps in certain areas there would not be an abundance of false alerts thanks to the 9500i/ix being less sensitive to off-axis radar than some of the other detectors. I guess it's one of my things. Why use a feature that wouldn't benefit me? Plus, it's always good to get a feel for how it alerts and what not, even to falses, before you go shutting it up, at least in my opinion.

It won't autolockout for a few days until it builds up some history.

I turned autolearn on and highway mode on from day one and it's "Signal to Noise Ratio" (i.e. Leo to NonLeo Alert Ratio) is fantastic.

Indeed. Agreed, this is how I've had mine set from the get go and I too couldn't be happier...
