Thank you MEM-TEK, It wasn't in USB mode, and i was using Vista. It somehow worked after putting it into the USB mode and on XP.
I updated it and i am sending back the POS 9500ix, sorry but i hate the smart-mute feature. Hate it with a passion when it mutes out Ka band.
I like to know whats near me and what i am approaching, no matter if i am under the speed of 20MPH.
Now i have my old 9500i updated, LOVE the RED display! Love the ramp up! Love the NO SMART-MUTE .. LOL. I might as well get a V1 now! YEAH a V1 baby!!

I am gonna wait for GOL tests and then probably get the 9500ix if convinced. And hopefully they come out with an option to turn OFF the SMART MUTE!!!!

I don't understand why this isn't an option to begin with. With the 9500ix's Autolearn and GPS features, not to mention how quiet I hear it is to begin with, I don't think alerts at a stoplight/slow speeds would annoy a person TOO much, assuming in most cases it will be a genuine alert.
