I've got plenty of unmanned Ka devices in my neck of the woods: 34.7 speed signs, 33.8 speed signs, and the most useless of all would be 34.7 drones in message signs with never any messages displayed.

I know most Ka is speed radar but plainly not all is actually so dangerous. Why the heck didn't Escort provide for Ka lockout!!?
Where is this Ka drone located? In the USA? The FCC prohibits any type of unmanned Ka radar devices. They only permit unmanned X band and K band radar devices.
I've run across quite a few Ka speed signs over the last 6 months. There's quite a few on the road into Augusta right now I believe. I'm sure there's a video of them here on the forum.

    I found it:

My goodness, the OP is "annoyed" by only one Ka sign? Try to avoid traveling in PA, you may have a meltdown.

The comments by others on this lack of Ka lockout capability are appreciated, especially the ones that recognize it would be a nice option to have. But I am still hoping to see one of the 9500 super-techs comment whether or not a Ka lockout might be achievable by external software command (since Escort didn't see fit to provide for this).

BTW - With respect to the ix's "Auto Learn" feature, is it safe to assume that the 9500ix does not learn to lock out innocuous Ka emissions? I would think this is mentioned in the ix owners manual?

According to the manual only X and K band are eligible to any TrueLock features. Until we figure out how to modify its encrypted/signed firmware it will not be possible to coax the unit to lock Ka band.
