Only thing i see is you may be blocking some of your rear sensitivity by having it in front of your RVM. You would still get reflections back but it could have something to do with it?
This may be a stupid question, but is there such thing as too high? I used to have mine sitting in front of my mirror where only I could see it and then I moved it just to the left of my rearview mirror where the suction cups sit on the factory tint and the horn is shooting just under the tint. I swear, I got better range and detection with it in front of the mirror. I do not believe I have metallic tint from the factory, as this is a Honda Accord and I can find nothing to show it is metallic. Maybe I am just being obsessive compulsive.

I ride a lot of mountain roads. How much extra range do you get when turning of the KA False-Alarm-Guard?Form my next road trip, I intend to use my V1 until I get off the interstate. -The ix from the interstate to my destination. - and the V1 with Ka False-Alarm-Guard off when I am running on the side of the mountain.
No extra range, per se. What you get is a little time. There is always a little time (about a second or so) between when a signal is detected and when the alert is given. This is because the detector needs to make sure it is a real threat and not some other source. (such as a cheap, leaky radar detector)
Without the guard on, the alerts are instant, but you get a lot of falses from other sources.
On the side of the mountain where I will be, there is nothing for miles. If it alerts up there, there is probably another electronic device in the area, and it's probably in a vehicle.
And when driving on this road, every second helps....

Nice Vid. Thanks for sharing. Seems like all the LEO would have to do on that road is stand outside his car and wave you over since he could hear you coming.
No traffic too!
