Anyone have any input on window tint and how it affects performance of the 9500ci's GPS antenna? I'd like to install the GPS antenna on my rear deck below the rear window. My rear window is tinted (metal tint, 35%). Is this going to be a problem?

Hmmm....there is a good chance metal may have an effect on it.
It's occurred to me since posting this, that I could just put my iPhone on that rear deck and run a few tests pretty easily. I'll report back with any conclusions.
Metallic tint will affect GPS reception as well as the reception of your radar detector.

Hmm...If your car has a center tail light mounted atop the rear console, and your installer didn't apply the metallic window tint in front of the rear center tail light, then you have a option if the rear center tail light assembly is made entirely of plastic. You might be able to simply stick the GPS antenna up inside the rear tail light assembly. This is what I did with my 9500ci's GPS antenna, and it works fine.
