    Default redline settings

SO in my absence i got that nice little redline email :P

now i do enjoy my 9500ix and being quiet, but hey new toys are new toys

so once it comes out i'll probably be selling my 9500ix and getting the redline

as far as prelimary goes, i've had lots of experience with the v1 being a 'chatterbox' however i found with the right programming the v1 is actually super quiet

Now my question is since the redline doesn't have the same programming options, only the 'auto' my question is more for 8500/sti/other bel/escort/whistler etc owners............how effective is the 'auto' setting, does it seem to reduce sensativity at all, and does it seem to keep the falses to a minimun?

Yes i do know it may be different compared to the redline vs the others, however previous models are often a good indication of future ones

Alot will disagree but in Auto mode on my STI I still get the same amount of falses as before on K band sources in my area LA. It does a good job of quieting down x band though. I think thats gonna be a big probem with the redline use in city, not being able to shut it up!

How about the sensativity in auto vs highway? any difference?

cause the redline looks nice just because for only 500 you get the sti-r/9500ci sensativity(more than the v1), BUT i can get the v1 very quiet with programming, if the redline's auto mode drops the sensativity alot, well then it's not of much use over the v1, or 9500ix for that matter

my drive to/from work doesn't have many falses, but i do drive elsewhere occasionally :P

No sensativity differance noticed on auto vrs highway. If you have very few falses in your commute the Redline will probably be tolerable for you.

I basically agree with Freebird. Auto mode only suppresses X band slightly and some K band in certain instances.
However the new TSR feature may be used to help reduce regular falses as well because of the alert delay (similar to VR's K suppression).

Its very difficult to see any sensitivity differences from Auto to Highway.
