Can anyone confirm or deny this RUMOR?

I noticed an earlier thread where someone had stated that they had heard a rumor about a supposed 8500x50 plus coming out that was supposedly better on K band than the existing 8500x50. Anyone heard anything on this one?

I haven't heard anything. If K band still is your primary threat then you have the following choices, in order of decreasing performance:

RedLine or 9500ci or STi-R
V1
Any M4 antenna based Bel or Escort product

That is the long and the short of it.

Could the OP be referring to the X50 Euro which is supposed to handle low power K-band better?

Escort ran a promotion where you could get factory restored x50's on the cheap not to long ago.

I was thinking that theyll get the X50 discontinued but an X50 plus would be nice! Itll be the best bang for the buck from Escort.

So...It would appear the RedLine is more or less an STi Driver? How do they get better detection out of the M3 antenna? Firmware? and if so, will Bel offer an update?

Upgraded LNAs in the horns, and possibly other hardware and software tweaks.
