Got hit with laser tonight/ 9500i

Was driving back home tonight and got hit with laser. I only new because my blinder m-47 went off like crazy but my 9500i never made a sound. He hit me several times.

Is there something wrong with my detector?

Nothing wrong with the detector, remember you own a radar detector. It also has laser detection on it, but the possibility of it alerting you and saving you from a ticket is almost zero. Time for you to look into laser jammers. Radar shoots over a broad area, a laser gun uses a beam and is very hard to detect. What state you in?

I have a blinder M-47 right now thats the only way I knew I got hit.

I just got back from running back to where the cop was sitting. I went home and got my other detector and plugged it in and drove by the cop and my 8500 x50 screams off laser but the 9500i does NOT.

I am in Alberta Canada.

As long as the radar detector part works just fine, I wouldn't worry about it. You already have a laser warning system.

It sounds to me like you never shut off your Blinders. You are supposed to get down to the PSL, shut them off and allow the LEO to attain your speed, so that he does not get suspicious. Did you do that?

Missing a laser shot can happen to any RD, even the V1. If your RD alerts to a laser shot, consider that a bonus. Here's a video where my V1, which has a hell of a lot better laser detection capabilities than both your 9500i and your X50, never alerts to the laser shot.

BUT...

The x50 went off screaming laser.

I thought the 9500 is the x50 in a different body. This does not seem to be the case. The x50 finds cops that have left radar on way quicker then my 9500

Maybe by software is out of date??? Is there a way to check with my serial number?

Soooo, when you made those multiple runs, did you shut off your Blinders?

And, you could try a reset. Forget what to push on the 9500i.

There is nothing wrong with your 9500i. You got lucky with your X50 and didn't get so lucky with your 9500i. That's it. Neither will detect every shot.

Yes I turned the blinders off and just kept driving by him.

Then I turned on the blinders afew times and went by him and he was ridding me for along time. The x50 went off everytime and when I mean everytime i MEAN EVERYTIME. The 9500 didn't go off once!!!!!!

How do I do a master reset on the 9500?
