Maybe it's someone else's repaired Redline

So, even though UPS eventually delivered my repaired one, Escort must have thought it was lost forever, and shipped me another. Interestingly, this one is packaged differently. Instead of being in a retail box, it is in an Escort carry case, with the manual separately, and there's also a leather pouch that has the cord and suckers in it.

So, should I call Escort and tell them I don't need it and send it back (the morally right thing to do), or keep/sell it?

Run them both together for a while and see which is more potent and alerts first.
Send the LOSER back. (the morally right thing to do)

I have a hunch it's a refurb or return due to the way it was packaged (not in a retail box). It's not someone's repair since there was no repair card in the box.

You already posted it on here but you could edit it. You must be a pretty honorable guy.

I just looked at the serial # date code and it's 1010, meaning it was built the 1st week in March. Must be a brand new unit then.

Nevertheless, my Christian values and conscience tell me to call Escort on Monday and ship it back to them.

Thats the right thing to do, however I would take at least a week to test it out against the other Redline just to see if there is any difference!

Just curious. Does Escort sell returned Redline's at any discount price like the V1? If not what do they do with the returned/serviced ones? Fix & repair and sell them as new?

Probably recycled, or gifts to employees, they even have an eBay store.

Doing the right thing always works out best. I would contact Escort, explain what happened. You might find that they allow you to keep the one of your choice. Either way, no matter what you have set a fine example of your integrity.
