Regarding X-band, if there is a chance it is used in your particular area, then certainly enable it. I just drove in Oregon for a few days and did encounter a single Oregon Trooper running X. (And you thought K falses were annoying, try doubling them with X)

Next time you run them together, put the Whistler in the Menu mode, that usually causes a Ka false from Belscorts. That would be a good way to tell if there's interference.

The Whistler does that by design. It's a way to test your other RDs on Ka band. I remember reading a post from Michael B on that. It's only supposed to emit that Ka signal in the menu mode. I don't know what Ka frequency it is transmitting on though.

I wonder why they would do that. Do they figure every Whistler owner has another RD that they want to test on Ka?

Even NJSP occasionally run X-band.

Come to South Jersey they almost only run X. Locals as well. Ka is appearing more frequently though. I've only found one town in my area that even uses K.

Same here locals in my town are strictly X. Go a couple blocks to the next town and its 34.7.
