    Default Super Cup Mount

I just recieved the Super Cup Mount for my 8500 x50. The big suction cup and bracket looks like it actually blocks a portion of the front of the radar unit when the unit is mounted horizontally. Does this seem to be an issue with anybody else?

On the very much vertically angled windshield of my MB G500, I also experienced this. Not so with my Audi Q7 where the front windshield is much more sloped.

It works perfect in my car but like you, it seems to be in the way when I mount it in my truck. The angle of the windshield does that and it bugs me too when I mount it in the truck.

There is probably no difference in detection range since the detector is a few inches away from the mount and its only partially blocked, but the perfectionists that we are, we don't want to miss any signal I just use the regular mount for the truck and use the super cup mount for the car.

I too had the super cup but didn't like it because it a) blocked part of the antenna and b) made my 9500ix stick out too far from the windshield where I had it mounted.

No block on my car, it does make stick out further.

At first I wasn't sure if I like how it made my X50 stick out further, but I got used to it, plus it's impossible to miss an alert even if the music is up (although the loud tones make it impossible to miss too). Also, the diving board effect is completely eliminated with the SuperCup, it moves for nothing, I love it.
