Can't lockout signal

So I pass this same area almost every day on I-83 south, I'm coming down a hill and I know right as I round the bend to start going up another hill, I will get a Ka alert from a speed sign at the top of the hill (roughly 3/4 mi away). My 9500ix will not lock this signal out automatically, and pressing the mute button does absolutely nothing. Any ideas?

X2, locking out KA is too high of a risk. But so is laser so i don't know why Escort added that without the ability to also lock out KA.

Laser falses are fairly common around airports. I know the only two times my 9500ix EVER alerted to laser i was passing an airport in NC. Scared the bejesus out of me.
