Well, when the Super Cup fails, it does not have another suction cup to rely on for the RD to dangle until you can give it some attention. So, what you wind up with is a RD that has fallen and probably bounced off the dash a few times until it finds its final resting place on the floor of your vehicle, where it probably bounced around down there a few times. I'm sure others in the forum can agree with me when I say I don't like seeing a $300-$500 RD take a fairly hard fall that could possibly damage the unit...

Is there any possibility of seeing a Super Cup with two suction cups on it rather than one? I would want to jump on that band wagon...

    These are just my thoughts.....

Not sure about 2 cups - the single one is pretty mondo. I have had the unit fall of once or twice, luckily it targeted the passenger seat and not the dash. I no longer leave it up (the detector - I leave the mount in place), mainly because of the fatigue it gives the mount.

My thinking was two suction cups larger than the ones that come with the standard mount and smaller than the one that's currently employed on the Super Cup. Something in the middle that can still quantify as a "Super Cup" and still give the security of two suction cups should one of them fail.
