i took the valentine one around the front of the car the highest concentration of k band is coming through the bumper under the lights. Its not the active cruise sensor. I have no idea what it could be but I cant disable it in the car. I would think lane assist would be on the sides and the car keeps leaking k band with lane assist on. I am truly stumped
Any progress?
According to the vehicle manufacturer site that is a K band radar sensor in the front bumper for active cruise control. If it is like the Nippon units, and it probably is, it will be on all the time whether you engage the active cruise control or not.
Also, if your windshield is composed of material that is blocking the V1 from picking up that K band transmitter in the front bumper, it is the wrong vehicle for an RD. You can probably get away with jammers, but I doubt you will be able to disable the radar sensor without a consequence.
I would defer to Solidjake’s comments…

The thing that sux the most about MG's situation is that he will need to deactivate 1 or 2 multi-thousand dollar sensor packages to use CMs (based on what I have heard so far). What a waste of $$ IMO. As for the window, not sure I buy that one, but if it is true, you could always go with a steath model to avoid the window once the offending sensors are disabled.
Yuck all the way around.
You are correct. If you disable it then the vehicle will show error codes. The K signal it is emitting is on when the vehicle is running, no matter what features you have disabled. Unfortunately the only current solution on your vehicle is to disable K band on your Qi45.
The window issue IS REAL, there is a metallic component to some windshields:

Copy that...just read through the following: http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...ad.php?t=37656
How thick a lead shield would be required to absorb all the RF emitted by the sensors on your car?
You're not the only guy on this forum who has had this problem, and if the signals could simply be absorbed, then you won't have to mess with disabling them!
nine-c1, do you know the answer?
