Default new install for my 9500IX

finally got my direct wire kit. ran the cable from the fuse box up the pillar and brought the cable out by the RVM. Also placed the mute button under the steering wheel.

Just need to get a direct wire cord for my gps then that other cord running under the console will disappear.

I would place the detector higher above your RVM.

lol why's the mute button like that?

i have a similar setup, but i cut out a hole in my dash in an empty tray to run the wires, and taped it to the tray. (i'll get a pic of it sometime soon)

and x2 for mounting it at least parallel with RVM. i noticed my range went up a bit...

Uh oh...sounds like time for the Ci or similar option.

You should randomly modify some of her bookmarks to link to to forum in an effort to 'turn her'

With the rear view mirror, you can push the arm up and angle the mirror down to gain a bit more room, alternatively you could go get some RVM glue and mount it higher on the windshield.
