    Default Redline settings

I did a search, but could not find the exact answer that I think I am looking for.

X band is not in use in my state, so I was wondering if it is best to run the detector in HWY mode or AutoNoX?

Is AutoNoX less sensitive than HWY?

    Thank you!

Highway mode will give you full sensitivity on all bands. Auto will delay k band and x band. I suggest highway mode all times, unless you get a lot of false k band, cause auto does help filter some out.

Disable X band if you are absolutely positive that it is not in use in your state.

That is one really good thing about the Redline is the ability to change its settings very quickly.

I have actually been surfing and searching the forum since this post to learn about X band more. From what I have read, it does not seem that it takes very long at all for the Redline to sweep X band so I will leave it on. Probably run Auto around town and H on the Highway..

That sounds like a good idea.

I use Highway for all situations execpt when driving in the city or urban areas I use AutoNoX because of all the false alerts from door openers. Local leos only use k and ka here. It all depends on where you live.

Thanks for the info, I've only had ka alerts in jackson but i'll scan for x now too. North Canton is primarly k and ka.
