Default 9500ix changed sensetivity after upgrade?

Sent my 9500ix in to get the tsr upgrade as I thought that would help with a lot of my false alerts (drive around Houston).
After I got it back I set it on Highway, TSR, and took the rest of the defaults.
The mounts in 2 vehicles that I use it are in the same location that they were before the upgrade.
Don't drive daily so my perception is based on a handfull of alerts.
Now my problem. The alerts used to come on early enough to give me plenty of warning (unless leo was using a trigger of course). Now they seem to come on almost when I am on top of the radar source, I assume that the leos have not been using instant on as the alerts fade normally as the leo passes.
Does TSR being on cause this? Or did the tune they did with the TSR upgrade not get done right?
Don't drive regularly so I have not tested with different settings yet.

It's probably TSR ON causing this. You can confirm this by turning TSR off temporarily.

TSR means the detector has to analyze the signal more closely before it alerts, in order to avoid falsing. This results in lower perceived sensitivity to weak signals.

FYI, Houston doesn't have any of the stations that will cause the K band TSR alerts. I run TSR off on my 9500IX and I drive all over town.

TSR will effect some sensitivity of K band, wont effect KA band at all.
