Question [VIDEO] Escort Redline: Instant-on or poor detection?

Watch the oncoming car, that's our beloved OPP. My Redline goes from nothing to full blast K-band once I'm right beside him. Was this an instant-on hit or a poor alert? I was behind a transport truck if it makes any difference. Discuss...

Trucker had enough time to hit his brakes by the time the RL went off. Whether he was running an RD or just by chance seen the cop in the dark.

Did the cop have any lights on?

Not uncommon for the delay in the Belscorts for I/O.

Anyone behind you maybe 500m back or so? It looks like he I/Owned someone behind you and just hit the trigger as he was passing you. Not sure what gun they use there but K band moving I/O can take a few tenth longer to activate than Ka I/O so the LEO has to activate the radar just a little bit earlier

Yikes I'd like to know too. I'm hoping he was hitting someone behind you. Or maybe he didn't see you either because of the truck and hit the button late looks like he was moving...

Hmm, I believe there was someone behind me but the LEO didn't turn on his lights. I just hope he wasn't trying to target me or was late in doing so, as obviously I had no time to react. I encounter alot of moving radar here but not I/O like this one.

He either missed his opportunity to get you or was gunning for someone behind you.

    Default More I/O ambush!!!

Well, just got hit with moving K band I/O again this morning. Looks like they're more commonly used than I thought. Better alert than last time, but damn little to no margin to slow down. There was no weak alert prior. Luckily, I wasn't speeding. I/O's are lethal!

Ps. The timestamp is wrong in the video. It happened this morning around 9:00am

Yes they are. Especially when there is no one driving out in front of you.

Thats why I do not speed without a rabbit. I think in the 1st vid he was going after someone else and it was I/O. My Redline does fantastic against I/O. Also, I have, just yesterday had some great constant on K band even on AutoNoX (I am in a very hilly/curvy part of the USA).

He was rounding a bend and looks like he waited to less cosine error. He knew you were marginaly near the limit and needed his best shot.

    Using your eyes FTW!
