Nice that your cleaning your detector but have you tested this to see if it makes any difference?
I myself am just a little tiny bit skeptical.![]()
i know what you mean you can't believe everything on the internet right lol. well this unit about 4 months ago started going crazy even before i left my house"never did that before". it always passed the startup test and my car is in good working condition so there is really nothing to give off interference. but it would get instant on k and ka alert for no reason in my driveway and before i got out of my neighborhood which in a quite suburb. since it passed the start up test I assumed it was the horn that was the issue. since escort now wants 139.99 to fix it and its worth jack sh** on ebay especially messed up, i thought i would clean it up and i found it to be really dirty inside. what the heck at this point what is the harm of taking it apart and trying something? It is my backup detector so I really haven't had time to test it on the road, but I did sit with it in my car for about 15 minutes and it did not false once. This last resort seems to have made a difference. if I find out more I will let you know.
Hay, if it works for you then who am I to argue with your success.![]()
