Redline instant on performance

I have read some reviews that the redline does a poor job with instant on detection being used ahead of you. I understand if you get shot directly you're toast. What I'm referring to is its ability to give you a beep when someone ahead of you is being shot. Other escort detectors and the V1 are better at this or so I have read. Is this true? We have a lot of instant on here I'm NC.

Don't know where you read that,but I disagree w/ it.
The latest version of the newer REDLINEs has BS/RDR option that makes it the KING of all RD's !
It's the Superior performer of all W/S (WindShield) mount Detectors presently sold.
You couldn't make a better choice.

Those reviews are now outdated.

The RedLine has been updated with new firmware options that took it from being one of the worst detectors (in terms of response time) to now being one of the very best. Applying the new Ka segmentation and RDR off options give it lightening quick response while also increasing detection range and quality of the Ka alert ramp-up.

I purchased a Redline not to long ago and the detector is a BEAST! It has absolutely no problems detecting I/O or QT with ease. I have encountered I/O quite a few times and it has alerted me well in advanced from a "rabbit" car in front of me before I can even see the cop. This detector is par none the best windshield mount money can buy. I wish I had a video camera to show how well this detector performs. I'm not quite sure where you heard that the I/O is terrible. Maybe mine is a fluke that performs better than others? I doubt it though.
