    Default Proper Introductions Come First...

Hello, all. I found this site while doing my latest research on a detector. I'm 37, a family man, and have been using detectors on and off since not long after I began driving. Only recently did I really start researching them, after deciding I was going to spend more than a couple of hundred dollars on one.

Like many others, I don't try to break the law, although I'd say my average speed is almost always at least 15 mph over the limit. Every now and then, when life gets in a hurry, so do I. I've only had one ticket in my life, and that was about 20 years ago, which isn't really due to anything but staying alert and not doing anything too stupid or risky. I use other cars, the land layout, and any other tell-tale signs there are to let me know when to slow down. I actually think these things are far more important than a detector.

I'm a member of more internet forums than I care to mention, and unlike some, I enjoy the built in search engine, hence my hardly ever starting new threads. I look forward to learning even more here than I already have up to this point, and I'll see everyone online. Thanks.

Welcome aboard! What detector are you using? Where are you located? (so we can determine what types of enforcement you're likely to come across)?
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

^ Whoops, didn't put that info in there did I....

I just returned a 9500ix and ordered a V1 today at lunch. The whole "V1 zombie" thing just sounded too appealing.

I'm located in Northeast Mississippi, just outside the birthplace of Elvis (Tupelo) in a town called Guntown (don't laugh, I'm serious).
