    Default Hello from the nj

hello there everyone I been on this site reading for quite some time learned a lot from all of you ... a while ago I bought a V1 3.619, had it since its been new, just sent her in for the first tune up wednesday, can't wait to get her back since I do not have a back up and have been doing the PSL Don't really speed in NJ but I do a lot of traveling though PA (where I do most of my speeding). For those of you that have sent your unit in for a tune up how long did it take to get yours back?

Took me about a week to get back.

Btw, I would be careful in PA. They use low powered K band guns that will make your V1 alert to K band once and weak and that's it.

low powered k gun? its like a singke or couple beeps then that's it? bc i experienced this a couple times and just slowed down and went to the right lane... a week thats pretty good and your kinda close being in ny i expected about 2 weeks with out it... hows the 3.619 version ranked amoung the other versions i read that 3.812/3 are the best pre-pop

If you know how to react to that alert then that's great. PSP is very sneaky with K band...

As for the 619, I'm not sure.

Excellent RD you have there, the V1 is a beast of a RD.

That's a pretty old V1. I'd upgrade it to 872. So PA uses the Falcon HR?

Edit: Took about a week to get it back.

when i check the upgrade recommendation it says

V1 Description: Radar circuitry known in-house as V1.8. This is our latest and best performer on both radar and laser with just one exception—it lacks POP Protection. Of interest to those who drive in Europe, the latest V1 version also has a Euro Mode.

Upgrade Recommendation: You have a sophisticated security system, and we’re cautious about recommending an Upgrade. If you believe in keeping up with technology, particularly if the POP Mode is being used in your area, then go ahead. V1’s approach to the POP problem is superior to all others in the industry. If you drive in Europe, you will appreciate our new Euro Mode which improves protection on photo radar as it is used in the E.U.

I dont drive in europe, and i believe pop is not used in my area, unless its used by Pa staters?
