    Default Hello from Central California!

Hey everyone, new member here from Central CA. Looking to purchase my first radar detector soon, will be using it in the valley and in the bay area. Anyone have any good recommendations for detection of CHP and local police radar?

My recommendation would be the Escort iX. It has very good range and provides very good filtering to K-band collision avoidance systems. A good choice for the California highways.

Radarbusters sells 'em and they offer 10% discounts.

Be careful, radar isn't your only threat for speed enforcement. CHP uses Lidar, too. In the Bay area, I know SFPD uses both radar & Stalker Lidar guns.
